Douglas J Fox, M.D.

Dr. Douglas Fox is a board-certified neurosurgeon who specializes in treating complex brain and spine conditions. He has a special interest in using minimally invasive techniques and advanced technology to help patients recover faster and return to their lives with less pain.

Dr. Fox cares for a wide range of conditions, including herniated discs, spinal stenosis, and brain tumors. He takes time to understand each patient’s unique situation and works closely with them to choose the safest and most effective treatment options.

Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Fox completed his medical training at Washington University and advanced fellowship training at the Barrow Neurological Institute, where he gained expertise in both brain and complex spinal surgery.

Today, Dr. Fox combines his surgical skill with ongoing research into new technologies that improve neurosurgical care. He sees patients at our NeuroTexas offices in Southwest Austin and Marble Falls.

Physician Assistant to Dr. Fox

Austin is a certified physician assistant who brings several years of experience in neurosurgery to the NeuroTexas team. Before joining us, he spent three years at The Spine Institute of Louisiana, where he gained extensive hands-on experience in complex spinal reconstruction, spinal tumor surgery, and cranial operations.

He earned his Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in 2017. At NeuroTexas, Austin works closely with Dr. Douglas Fox and supports our full team, caring for patients both in the clinic and the operating room. He is dedicated to helping patients feel informed and supported throughout every step of their care.

Jordyn Lacy, PA-C

Jordyn is a certified physician assistant who graduated from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor in 2024.  Before joining us, she worked as a hospitalist at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. She developed a strong foundation in multidiciplinary inpatient medicine and has brought her clinical experience and passion for patient care to the field of neurosurgery.

At NeuroTexas, Jordyn works closely with all of our surgeons and supports our full team caring for patients in clinic, operating room and inpatient. She is dedicated to improving patient access to timely, high-quality care while supporting patients through every stage of their treatment.
