Mark G. Burnett, M.D.

Dr. Burnett is board-certified in neurological surgery.

Dr. Burnett was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. After finishing his undergraduate degree at Yale University he was a Fulbright Scholar and studied international health care policy. He completed his medical degree at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1998 and his residency training in neurosurgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in 2005. Following his residency, he completed a fellowship in complex spinal surgery at the Barrow Neurological Institute. Dr. Burnett’s interests include complex and minimally-invasive spinal surgery, spinal sports medicine, neurotrauma, neuro-oncology, and peripheral nerve surgery. He has been awarded two research grants from the National Institutes of Health for his work in neurophysiology and the development of non-invasive blood flow monitors to treat patients with brain and spinal injuries. He has authored more than thirty peer reviewed manuscripts and multiple book chapters.

Dr. Burnett currently sees patients at our NeuroTexas locations in South Austin, Dripping Springs, San Marcos and Round Rock and is now offering the Asleep DBS procedure.

Jordyn Lacy, PA-C

Jordyn is a certified physician assistant who graduated from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor in 2024.  Before joining us, she worked as a hospitalist at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. She developed a strong foundation in multidiciplinary inpatient medicine and has brought her clinical experience and passion for patient care to the field of neurosurgery.

At NeuroTexas, Jordyn works closely with all of our surgeons and supports our full team caring for patients in clinic, operating room and inpatient. She is dedicated to improving patient access to timely, high-quality care while supporting patients through every stage of their treatment.
